Collection Development Workshop on 13th/14th June 2011 in Western Cape

Collection Development is the backbone of a library's activities and lies at the heart of what libraries do. With Collection Development we strive to
meet the needs of individuals with the right information at the right time in order to fulfill our mission to build knowledge and to provide input into
developing our nation.

In order to do this well, we have to understand both the potential world of finding the right information at the right time and also to identify the
unique needs of communities of potential library users.

The Western Cape Branch together with the LIASA Acquisitions Interest Group (LACIG) and LIASA-CICD invite you to attend a two-day workshop on Collection Development.
