Lecturing Contract Position

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill a vacancy in the Department of Information Science, Unisa. Applicants should be in possession of at least a Masters degree in Information Science or a related discipline. The Department requires someone who has a good knowledge of User Studies and/or information technology especially as relating to information management, retrieval and organisation.

Job description

The persons appointed will be required to teach courses on undergraduate and postgraduate level. This will involve the writing of tuition material, setting of assignments and examination papers, carrying out administration activities involved in running a course, giving discussion classes and workshops and marking assignments and examination scripts. Teaching experience in a tertiary institution will be a strong recommendation.


The successful applicant will be required to start work immediately.
