Second Copyright Lekgotla: Who owns our knowledge?

*lekgotla: a gathering of people to discuss and decide on matters
directly affecting them; a consultative process between groups pursuing
common goals

The Academic and Non-Fiction Authors' Association of South Africa
(ANFASA) and the Publishers' Association of South Africa (PASA) are
pleased to announce the second Copyright Lekgotla which will take place at the Cape Town International Conference Centre on Monday 18 June 2007.

The lekgotla will bring together members of the book publishing value
chain, from authors at one end of the chain to readers at the other, to
debate intellectual property rights and other topics related to writing
and publishing.

There will be two debates in plenary and four separate discussion
groups facilitated by international and local speakers.
This is not a conference, but a participatory event, open to all who
are interested in the development of writing and publishing in South
Africa.

DATE: Monday 18 June 2007, 10h00 to 18h00, followed by a cocktail function
VENUE: Cape Town International Conference Centre
COST: R60 (does not include lunch)
