LIASA SABINET Western Cape Branch Librarian of the Year 2007

The LIASA SABINET Librarian of the Year is a prestigious award, and the person selected will be a role model for Librarians in South Africa.

You will remember receiving via the LIASAOnline List and the Western Cape distribution List, calls to nominate a worthy candidate. A panel was selected from the Branch Executive Committee to select a winner in accordance with the criteria for the award. I am very happy to now be able to inform you of the outcome of that process.

I am very happy to announce that the LIASA SABINET Western Cape Branch Librarian of the Year 2007 is Rose Damon.

Congratulations, Rose!

I would like to wish Rose well and best wishes from all of us as she now competes with nominees from the other branches for the national BIG award.

Good luck, Rose!!

Fatima Darries,
LIASA Western Cape Branch Chair, 2006-2008.
