It is almost time for the LIASA Conference 2010.
For all members:-
If you have not voted in the 2010 elections, you only have a few days in which to do this. The President of LIASA will be from the Western Cape and the Branch also has the opportunity to have the National PRO hailing from this Branch. Nazeem Hardy, previous Branch Chair and current EXCO member is up for election in this portfolio. Make your voice heard by voting in the election for National PRO.
Voting closes on Tuesday 28 September at 12:00. Ballot papers can be faxed to 012 323 1033. Alternatively, ballot papers can be handed to colleagues attending Conference.
For those attending the LIASA Conference 2010:-
The Western Cape Branch has made it a tradition of taking a Western Cape group photograph and this year will be no different. We are hoping to have this photo taken on the Wednesday, 29th September. We will announce further details at the Conference.
Internet Access at the conference - There is wi-fi available in reception and the patio area of the St Georges at a cost of R25.00 a day. The Ebsco Internet Cafe is also available when there are no Ebsco demos running. Otherwise please take a 3G card or use the internet/email access on your cellphone.
If you are taking photos at conference, LIASA WC has a Flickr account to which we would like to post all pictures. So if you have access to email facilities at the conference, please send an email to felt56appear@photos.flickr.com
In the subject field, list in the following format:
EVENT, date of Event, Person who took the picture.
It will automatically be uploaded to Flickr, once you have sent the email. If there is a problem, you can send the photos to Rudi Wicomb at
wicomb.rudi@gmail.com.
